The requirements of Weekend Yoga Meditation Retreat Rishikesh India program follows a tight schedule where almost each of the 8 to 10 training hours in the day are assigned to some aspect of yoga. You could find the training intensive but enlightening. Asanas: Yoga Meditater practice many besic Asanas (postures) plus additional postures and their levels and variations. Practice includes different levels of positions according to students' abilities from gentle for beginners up to intermediate level and advanced for each Asana. We place a lot of emphasis on adjustments, alignment, techniques, corrections, contra-indications, physical and psychic awareness, benefits and more. Asanas will be divided into few categories: in groups of standing and balancing asanas, forward and back bends, twisting and side bends poses, seated and inverted poses, meditation poses and more.

Pranayama:Yoga Meditater practice 8 main types of Pranayama 'breathing' techniques. Each Pranayama will be taught with emphasis on many technique, duration, ratio, physical and psychic awareness, contra-indications and benefits of Anuloma-Viloma, Nadishodhana, Ujjai, Bhramari, Shitali, Sitkari, Bhastrika and Kapalbhati.

Bandhas:Yoga Meditater practice of Bandha refers to "controlling" and "locking' the vital energy (Prana), and directing it so as to unite the Prana and Apana Vayus to the energy channel and then into the Sushumna Nadi. We place emphasis on technique, contra-indications and benefits. We explain that it is necessary to teach and learn Mula Bandha, Jalandhara bandha, Uddiyana bandha and Maha bandha which helps to practice further Kriya, Mudra and Pranayama.

Kriyas:Yoga Meditater learn information and practice of the Shatkriya "six body cleansing methods": Dhauti, Basti, Neti, Nauli, Tratak and Kapalbhati with emphasis on techniques, practice and theory, variations, awareness, contra-indications, benefits, etc. We will explain how to use Kriya in daily life.

Dhyana (Meditation):Yoga Meditater practice students will learn and be guided into practice of verious meditation techniques in accordance with each Chakra plus additional practices of different meditations with emphasis on background, techniques & benefits.

Mantra:Yoga Meditater learn to chant and present vaidic Mantras in the beginning and ending of yoga classes. Also we teach how to use Mantra to purify and balance the chakras. Also we will teach you techniques for Mantra Dhyana.

Surya Namaskar (Sun Salutation): Yoga Meditater learn the 12 positions of sun salutations with points of concentration, breathing and Mantra. Also trainees will learn Surya Namaskar with many variations of practice.

  • Discipline is an integral part of the training program and so the course routine must be strictly observed.

  • Disrespect to rules and regulations could result in termination of studentship with no refund of fee.

  • Restricted dress code is white yoga trouser, T-shirt and socks, jacket, jumper and shawl.

  • Absenting oneself from the scheduled program without prior permission of the teacher or manager concerned would be construed as a gross breach of discipline.

  • A student must intimate in advance if they intend to forgo a meal so that there is no wastage of food.

  • The Yoga Foundation does not make arrangements for guests of students. Any activity that is not related to the course is not permitted.

  • Ensure you are on time for class or you will not be permitted to enter any class once it has commenced.

  • Before departure from the Yoga Foundation students must all dues and return all library books.

  • Smoking, alcohol, Paan masala or any kind in any form drugs are not permitted during the training.

At Patanjali International Yoga Foundation (PIYF), Rishikesh, we provide the following accommodation and other facilities to our yoga students to make their stay comfortable and healthy during the yoga course:

PIYF is a well-appointed, comfortably furnished and modern facility, ideal for a comfortable stay in Rishikesh, India. PIYF is situated on the bank of the holy Ganga River, about 100 meters from the Lakshmanjhula Bridge, 4 km from the Rishikesh town, and 25 km from Haridwar. We are only 30 Km from the Dehradun airport and 250 KM from Delhi international airport.

  • Please keep in mind that it is a yoga ashram and not a hotel, so we provide all ashram facilities.

  • We provide only once, upon your arrival, towel, soap, toilet paper in bath room rest of the day guest should buy it.

  • We don’t provideshampoo, tooth paste and brush, etc. Please bring your own toiletry items, or buy locally around PIYF, Rishikesh.

  • For your personal safety and security, please bring a pad lock for your room.

  • We provide fresh bed sheets weekly.

  • We provide sharing tea maker, sharing ironing machine and table, laundry service, big lobby and private balcony.

  • We provide a blanket during winter, you are welcome to bring your own blanket or sleeping bag with you.

  • Children under 12 years , cats, dogs or any other types of animals are not allowed in the Ashram area .

Please mind that the deposit submitted with the application is not refundable or trancferable under any circumstances. However, in case of emergency and other unavoidable exigency the Yoga Foundation at its discretion permits students to go for any other scheduled course within the period of one year with below term and contiones:
1- If yoga aplicent inform us atleast a month before or more earlier, we would move the fees for upcoming yoga course.
?2- If yoga aplicant inform us their emergency after starting yoga course, we wouldnt be able extend fees for further yoga course.
